Local-first, end-to-end encrypted Q&A. Spin up a room, share a secret, collect questions — no server, no account, no sign-up.
Run a talk, an AMA, a classroom, a town hall — anywhere people have questions and you want the best ones to float up. Simple, private, and yours.
Anyone with the secret posts a question and upvotes the good ones. The crowd sorts signal from quacks.
Hosts answer and mark the accepted one. Every answer shows who wrote it and when.
The room secret is the key — it derives the topic AND the encryption. Sealed before it leaves your device.
Your Q&A lives on your device. Post with no signal; it syncs the moment you're back. Never leaves the pond.
Every message is signed with your own key. A little ✓ means it's provably that author. No impersonating the host.
Show up as a friendly name — or stay pseudonymous. Your identity is a keypair, not an email.
The creator owns the room and appoints admins to answer and moderate. Open or close in a tap.
Hand someone the room by scanning a code. The secret rides inside — join and sync in seconds.
An Android app and a Logos Basecamp desktop module, syncing directly with each other on the wire.
Most apps route your questions through someone's database. QAKU doesn't have one. Devices talk directly over a public peer-to-peer network, and each folds the messages into the same answer — like everyone doing the same crossword and always getting the same grid.
Notice what's missing? a server that reads your data — there isn't one.
A room is a 32-byte secret. It derives the network topic AND the AEAD key, so the relay only ever moves opaque sealed bytes. Have the secret, you're in — nobody else reads a thing.
Every action is a small signed event. Each device merges what it hears and folds it deterministically (a CRDT with HLC clocks) — everyone converges, whatever the order or offline gaps.
Messages ride Logos Delivery's SDS Reliable Channels — ordering, gap-detection and retransmit on top of Waku's censorship-resistant relay. Miss one, it's backfilled.
Each event carries a secp256k1 signature; your address is your public key. Authorship is provable, and privileged actions are locked to owners & admins.
🐤 Yes, it's a rubber duck. Yes, we debugged it by talking to it.
QAKU rides the Logos app ecosystem. Add the repo once; updates roll in automatically.
Grab F-Droid, then Settings → Repositories → + and scan this (it carries the signing fingerprint, so the add is verified):
…or paste the repo URL:

QAKU runs as a module in Logos Basecamp. Open Settings → Package Repositories and add:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/vpavlin/logos-apps/refs/heads/main/basecamp/logos-repo.jsonInstall qaku from the catalog (it pulls in the core + delivery module it needs), open it, create a Q&A, and share the QR to your phone — they sync directly.
